Final Status: Engineers have reverted back to a previous software version of a service responsible for handling the export of data from Yammer sites. This has resolved the image preview issue.
User Impact: Affected users may have seen a “Preview Temporarily Unavailable” message in place of the expected image thumbnail when viewing certain images. As a workaround, users could attempt to refresh the page until the image loaded as expected.
Customer Impact: Analysis of incident scope indicated that a very limited number of customers and users appeared to be impacted. No customer reports of the issue were identified during this event.

Preliminary Root Cause: As part of our efforts to improve service performance, an update was deployed to the Yammer data export service; however, the update caused a code issue which resulted in a degradation to image previews on Yammer pages.
