Final Status:  An unusually long processing delay occurred when an update was deployed to the Yammer caching infrastructure. Engineers detected the issue and monitored the Yammer service while the process completed. The issue was caused by the update process and is not expected to reoccur.

User Experience: Affected users may have been unable to load feeds, or feeds loaded slowly.

Customer Impact: Customer impact appears to be limited at this time.

Preliminary Root Cause: As part of our efforts to improve cross-datacenter reliability, an update was deployed to the caching infrastructure; however, the update resulted in a high number of difficult-to-compute entries, causing a longer processing delay than expected.
