On March 12, 2014, at 10:22 PM, PDT, Yammer Engineering identified an issue in which some customers may have been unable to post, receive, or view messages in Yammer. Investigation determined that an update to the environment caused an authentication issue on a portion of capacity that facilitates Yammer message activity. Engineers developed and deployed a fix to the affected capacity to remediate impact. The issue was resolved on March 12, 2014, at 11:52 PM, PDT. Moving forward, the Yammer infrastructure team will be reviewing the process for making environmental changes to ensure this scenario is prevented in the future.
